Staci Static has been a bright spot in St. Louis radio for more than a decade. Her radio career began at KDHX co-hosting the Friday night underground hip hop show which made her the first woman to hold a position on a hip hop radio show in St. Louis. After leaving the game for a couple of years to focus on being a mother to her only child, daughter Asha, Staci Static then returned in 1999 as a part-time personality on 100.3 The Beat. After spending only one year in that position she was offered the co-hosting gig on the Tossin’ Static Morning Show alongside DJ Tossin Ted. She went on to co-host morning radio on the Beat for 5 1/2 years. Gaining in popularity and being the voice of women in the St. Louis community, Staci was hand picked by the Missouri Department of Health to be the host of a video informing St. Louis area high school students and young adults about the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome. Ready to branch out on her own she began hosting the night show on 100.3 the Beat in the fall of 2004. Never wanting to leave St. Louis, her hometown, but knowing she wanted to move to a different time slot she jumped at the opportunity to be the first person to launch the new Hip Hop station that came to St. Louis in the fall of 2005 and joined the staff of Hot 104.1 as the Afternoon Drive host. Becoming only the second female in St. Louis urban radio to hold such a position. In the fall of 2006 Staci Static was recognized by the Riverfront Times as the Best FM Radio Personality in St. Louis. Currently, you can hear Staci Static on Hot 104.1 FM from 2-7pm Mon-Fri.
